Why this course? This course is essential to those who are working in sales, design and consulting services of diesel generators. The diesel engine is the main part of the diesel generator. To understand how the diesel generator set operates and generates electrical power it is essential to study and understand the basic structure of the engine and to know how the engine rating is specified and what are the different classifications of the diesel engine. This course is the first of series of courses on the diesel engine covering the engine itself, fuel system, cooling system, lube oil system, air and exhaust system and electric starting system.

Course Contents The course material is divided into 8 lessons, followed by a quiz exam. The student should study all lessons and then answer the quiz questions to pass this course. The student should score at least 60% to pass this course and get the certificate. The course has a weight of 2 PDH.
