This course on lube oil system of diesel generators is intended for sales and engineering teams who are starting their career in diesel generator sales and design. The course is also good for diesel generator technicians.

Course Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course the student should be able to:

• List and explain the major parts of the engine lube oil system

• Explain lube oil specification for diesel generator application

•  Explain lube oil system parameters and needed instruments

Course Contents

The course explains the diesel generator lube oil system components and structure. It also discusses the specifications of the lube oil used by diesel generator engines. The last part of the course discusses the lube oil system instruments. This course is the fourth of series of courses on the diesel engine covering the engine itself, fuel system, cooling system, lube oil system, air exhaust system and electric starting system. The course material has the main lesson followed by a quiz exam. The student should the lesson completely then answer the quiz questions to pass this course. The student should score at least 60% to pass this course and get the certificate. The course has a weight of 1 PDH. The following are the contents of the course:
